Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This occurrence isn't the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
