Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.

Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at female individuals.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
