Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he could not remember "any day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order put a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Following the killings, public figures shared divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive claims that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.
